Sterling Vineyards is a family friendly winery. We went last summer and they kids loved it!

Thanks for the list, we are flying from North Carolina and want our three teenagers to experience all of California which includes Napa Valley and wineries. Don't worry I don't drink and we will probably only go to one or two wineries.

Is it okay to take children 11, 13 and 16 years old on these tours? I assume that even if they are "allowed" to go the tour is completely adult centered?

Rubicon is very good...must taste their signature wine. Plumpjack was by far my favorite and fun. Pride is excellent and you taste from the barrel. Joseph Phelps is beautiful.

you can probably visit all 10 if you are in and out of them and ready to feel "happy", I was there on sunday and toured 4 of them. Definetly go to the Robert Mondavi and try the reserved wine, best one I had all day.

My wife and I are coming to Napa & San Fran for our 20th anniversary,and we will only be there for 3 days. Which of these 10 can we see in just 3 days & which of these 10 are the "must see" wineriesif we could only see a few??

I just got back from Napa/Sonoma and I only hit one of these vinyards above. There are so many and so little time. I can't wait to go back. Artesa is really cool too if you like modern.

I'm not necessarily saying that children are inevitably or always a nuisance, but when a child is bored, fidgety, noisy and running riot, they can become a nuisance to everyone who is trying to enjoy the visit and to everyone who is working hard to make the visit pleasant for all the guests. I've seen children running amok in restaurants because they're bored, and they disturb other patrons and can (and do) cause accidents with wait-staff.

I fully agree that children should be left with a reliable sitter so that everyone can enjoy the winery experience.

I agree that it makes no sense to have "family friendly wineries"; however, it is not because children are a "nuisance," but because children should have parents who are present and available to them, which is not fully possible for parents when engaged in imbibing alcohol. Better for everyone that children have an alternate place to be entertained and cared for while their parents enjoy a day visiting wineries sans children.

Looks like an awesome festival! Napa's one of our favorite places to visit. Carneros Inn is our favorite Napa Valley resort. Can't go wrong with a wine getaway! ;)
